About the Adventure
Your adventure begins in Queenstown with a 22 kilometer sightseeing drive up the coronet peak ski field access road and over the high mountain pass into Skippers Canyon. Carved from schist rock by the Golminers in 1862 this road travels through some of the best scenery New Zealand has to offer.

Upon reaching the mighty shotover river buckle up for Queenstown's greatest jetboating adventure. This stretch of river is exclusive to skipper’s canyon jet and is the narrowest river to be jetboated in the world. Throw in the world famous Hamilton jet spins and you’ve got a thrilling jetboat ride through New Zealand most spectacular canyon.
Due to the gold mining history of the area the river banks are scattered with mining relics. Your driver will occasionally pull over and point out points of interest such as the sight of the first discovery of gold in the river and explain a few of the most daring attempts to extract gold from the river.
Spectacular scenery is plentiful throughout the journey and you will have the oppoprtunity to view Lord of the Rings film locations.
